On November 6, Wang Lihui, Academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering and Professor of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, visited Chang'an University. Vice President Fan Wen met with the guests in the second meeting room of Beichen Building on Weishui Campus. The two parties carried out an academic meeting on the development of intelligent manufacturing discipline, academic cooperation and other aspects. The meeting was hosted by Professor Ye Min, Dean of the School of Engineering Machinery.

In the afternoon, Professor Wang gave an academic presentation entitled Recent and Current Manufacturing Research in KTH. The presentation was hosted by Associate Professor Lv Jingxiang of School of Engineering Machinery. Professor Zhang Yingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Professor Hui Jizhuang and Associate Professor Ding Kai of School of Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, teachers and postgraduates of related majors attended the presentation. In the presentation, Professor Wang introduced the history of the development of intelligent manufacturing such as cloud manufacturing, digital twin, physical information system, Internet of Things and big data, and presented the current research status of intelligent manufacturing with remote monitoring, remote assembly and human-machine collaborative assembly as examples, focusing on the principle of robotic control based on brainwaves. Professor Wang pointed out that the future development of the manufacturing industry should be centred on human beings, and the development of skeletal augmentation, mixed reality, and symbiotic intelligence, brain-computer interface and other technologies would enhance human capabilities and achieve human-centred manufacturing.

Before the presentation, Professor Wang visited the CNC machining workshop, digital twin production line and virtual reality assembly classroom of the Laboratory and Equipment Administration Department of Chang'an University, and put forward valuable opinions for the construction of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering.
